This is a wonderful stone water wall feature. The single piece of slate in this fountain is specially quarried and shipped from India. The stones of India are renowned worldwide for their beauty and elegance. Slate is available in a choice of two styles (featherstone slate or thick slate (extra charge)) and a variety of colors (black, green hue, red (featherstone only), or multi-colored (varies in its range- characterized by warm hues, such as red, brown, copper, purple, etc.))- select below. Thick slate is hand cut with chiseled edges, making each fountain a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Pieces vary in thickness, up to a quarter inch (estimated slate weight 150 lbs.). Featherstone slate is slate that has been shaved thin and mounted to a backboard. This makes the fountain lighter (estimated slate weight 15 lbs.). The featherstone slate fountains have thin matching side rails running down the side edges of the slate (framing the slate). Featherstone slate has the same wonderful colors, but may have less texture than thick slate. Fountain is also available with a silver mirror, instead of slate (not shown).
Because no two stones are alike, your fountain is an original. Therefore, your stone will vary in color and texture. Water cascades down the front slate wall to culminate in the basin. In this water fountains, a standard 110v outlet is required for the quiet, long-lasting, powerful water pump that is included. All of our water fountains are re-circulating and do not need an outside water source.
The copper components for this fountain are fashioned from high-grade copper mined from Kennecott Copper Mine located near Salt Lake City, Utah. The unique marble-like finish is burned onto the copper one piece at a time by skilled artisans. A clear coat finish is then applied to the copper to give it a high gloss finish, as well as to protect the copper from naturally turning green (patina) over time. You also have the option of selecting the copper vein frame color, rather than copper. When this is selected, the fame is crafted of stainless steel and then a durable powder coating is baked on. This coating covers all stainless steel pieces and beautifully finishes the fountain in the color copper vein (select below). The fountain is available with either square or round corners on the base and top hood (select below).
